Margaret River Holiday Cottages

Andrew and Jules have created a special bit of paradise in this corner of Margaret River - if you have kids (or even if you don't!), Margaret River Holiday Cottages is a booking you just won't regret! We came for two weeks, and still felt bereft when the time came to go - Andrew and Jules were fantastic during the booking and pre-trip phase, with lots of helpful information and tips to make our stay as memorable as possible. The cottages are set in the surrounding bush area, with amazing light streaming in through the trees at each end of the day - our cottage was ideal for our family of four, simple yet super homely, really well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and all mod cons. The set up with the animals is perfect to get as much or as little exposure as you're looking for - morning feedtime is brilliant for all ages of kids, starting at the Roo House and then moving out to the other animals and Andrew and team provide lots of information on the animals, how to feed them, and encouragement to get involved. The location overall is excellent - 5 mins drive from the centre of Margaret River town with all its shops and restaurants, lots of beaches no more than 15 mins drive away and more than enough vineyards for our livers over the course of our trip. No question, we'll be back and soon!

Absolutely a must place to stay !!!Close to all the amenities in Margaret River as well as the coast but when you arrive at Margaret River Cottages you’ll immediately be swept up in the Australia that’s on the edge of “The Bush” !!! Wild Kangaroo’s in the fields out back…A night sky that is dark … You’ll really see the southern sky the way it was meant to be seen !!! The Southern Cross, The Milky Way and the Magellanic Clouds … no light pollution at this location !!! … Then- during the day … besides the farm animals that make Margaret River Cottages their home … a nearby winery … Xanadu … ,one of many in the area, is just down the road … as is Eagles Heritage… a non profit that does valuable work with native Australian birds of prey …There is a cottage to suit all - From those travelling solo to couples to families …Your hosts: Andrew and Jules …their children and support staff Lisa and Ben ensure your stay will be memorable !!!

We had a wonderful stay at MR Cottages. There is something for everyone. Perfect for families. Our children haven't stopped talking about all the animals. The only bad thing was that we wish we had of stayed longer. Andrew and his crew make you feel so welcome. We will be sure to return in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at the Margaret River Holiday Cottages, it was just perfect for our family of 4.It is incredibly well located for access to all of the local areas, as well as the Margaret River high street. There was a coffee shop in walking distance, which we all enjoyed ambling through the bush to find.The facilities around the cottages were great- the pool, games room, playground and basketball hoop all meant we spend far more time then expected just hanging around the cottage as the children didn't want to leave.The outdoor cinema and animal feeding were added bonuses, making for a very memorable visit.We would not hesitate to come back next time we are in the area.

Kids friendly holiday cottages in Margaret River - the highlight for our Perth family holiday trip. My kids enjoyed the daily morning animal feeding and the tractor ride very much. The animals are well kept and kids friendly.Andrew, the super and wonderful host is very helpful prior and throughout the stay. Location is excellent, only 5 mins drive from Margaret River town. We love the nicely decorated cosy and homey holiday cottages with well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Do check out the most delicious Margaret River Woodfired Fruit Loaf (it's written on the last page of information handbook provided by Andrew and team). Definitely one of the best fruit loaf I've ever tasted.Andrew took my husband out on the trails behind the cottages for a run at 1st light the morning after we arrived. It was my hubby's first trial run in Australia and he loves it.We will definitely be back and we can't wait to share this beautiful holiday cottages to our friends and family.

The best place to be a kid, and an even better place to be a parent with all the facilities on offer. We’ve just finished a week stay at the farm with our 3 month old and 2 year old boys. Andrew, Jules, Lisa, Ash and the rest of the staff couldn’t do more to make you feel welcome, the cottages are very comfortable (v comfortable beds, lots of extra blankets / pillows) and have everything you need for an easy and relaxing stay (including all the baby / kid stuff). They’ve managed to create the perfect balance of rustic bush charm with clean and safe facilities which meant our toddler could have plenty of freedom whilst we enjoyed the outdoors. Lots of lovely touches like beautiful lighting and guided bush walk. The animals, movie nights and truck rides were a favourite of our toddler as well. It really is a very special place. Thank you! Our stay in this unique place was not entirely planned and came about rather by chance. So, unfortunately, we spent only one night here. That Andrew and Jules have already informed us before arrival via Whats app about the check in has pleased us very much. They were of all accommodations the only ones who were aware that we are best reached via this way, since we could not receive SMS.The cottages are beautiful and furnished with everything you need. They invite for a longer stay and one night is really too little. Watching the rescued animals on the grounds is especially nice. In the morning Andrew and Jules invite you to feed the animals. This was the highlight of our day. That Annett was allowed to hold one of the Kangaroo babies on this morning, her birthday, was the greatest gift.Andrew and Jules have created a very special place here. They are also incredibly nice and helpful. We can highly recommend the Holiday cottage and should our way lead us to Margret River again, we know the address for our stay. Thank you very much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's great for families with young children. The kids loved the daily animal feeding, the playground and the discovery trail in the bush. The cottages were not luxurious but certainly comfortable and sufficient for our needs.

Our family of 4 stayed in a Superior Brick 2 Bedroom Family Cottage and had an amazing time! Communication leading up to and throughout our stay was outstanding. The cottage was darling and very comfortable. We all loved feeding the animals in the morning and being welcome to hang out with them throughout the day. Feeding baby kangaroos and getting to see them play was a highlight and super cool! We loved the pool, ping pong tables, and playground. We were there in early autumn and got to enjoy and outdoor movie night, which was amazing - so many stars! Jules and Andrew were welcoming and warm throughout our stay. They taught us all about the animals, the Margaret River area including several good beach and restaurant recommendations, as well as a recommendation for an awesome company that organized a day of wine tasting for us, and they taught this American expat family living in Singapore several Aussie words and phrases, which were new to us!Highly recommend Margaret River Holiday Cottages for a truly unforgettable stay! We hope to stay there again one day. Thank you!

We stayed as a family (2 adults, one 9 year old) at Margaret River Holiday Cottages in October'22. Our 5 nights there were awesome, a beautiful location surrounded by wildlife - goats, kangaroos, alpacas, pigs, calves and chickensFeeding the animals at 8am was a real treat everyday.The cottage accommodation is comfortable with a community feel around the campfire each night and the location, a 2 minute drive from Margaret River town with its local wineries, coffee shops and restaurants was perfect. Even with this close proximity to town you still feel really close to nature with local trails at the back gate and with wildlife everywhere.Thanks to Andrew, Julia and Lisa for such a warm welcome, we will come back!
